13) Flash News – Mike
As most of you know, Mike has the largest company in
his industry. Related to the purchase: Some time ago
Mike decided to investigate the possible purchase of
the second largest company in the industry. The owner
and his CFO flew in last week and they had a good, frank
conversation. They are thinking it over, but Mike feels
that for a variety of reasons the timing may not be right.
Congratulations to Mike and his team for all of their
hard work that has made these great opportunities possible.
P.S. Related to the sale: As many of you know, a multi-billion
dollar company has expressed interest in purchasing Mike's
Company and they are coming in shortly. Now a second
multi-billion company has expressed interest and they
are trying to set up a date to come talk.
14) Flash News – Mike
More great news from Mike and Company! Mike was on jury
duty yesterday and here is the latest as of this morning.
The meeting last week with the first multi-billion dollar
company interested in acquiring them "went very
well. Three VP's came." Mike says "I was relieved
that we didn't have to discuss offers during the meeting.
Now that they have seen what we have to offer and how
good the "fit" would be, I really feel that
we will get a much better offer (or delay the sale so
it may take longer). They had to try hard to conceal
their excitement." "It could not have gone
better!"
"The preparation we did and the advice we received
from contacts related to the Advisory Council were invaluable.
I am sure that it helped raise our confidence level and
made us look even more desirable." "I expect
we'll be hearing more from them." In the meantime,
we have huge opportunities and we are going about mining
them. Mike went on to say, I am a guest speaker at the
Culinary Institution on the East Coast later this week
and then we are going to the year's biggest restaurant
show. Life is good. We'll have more to report at the
upcoming Council meeting as by then the second multi-billion
dollar buyer will have flown in to talk to us.

Congratulations to Mike on this outstanding industry
recognition from his peers. Recently, Mike was elected
President of an industry group of over 1500 agents for
one of the major Companies he represents. Again, a hearty
well done to Mike.
16) Flash News – Mike
Recently the President of Toshiba spoke with Mike and
said, it's my pleasure to offer you quite an honor. You've
been selected out of over 1,000 dealers and we would
like to ask you to serve on our "Dealer's Advisory
Board" which is a group of about 18 that meets multiple
times a year. Toshiba is flying Mike out to California
for his first meeting later this week. Congratulations
Mike!
17) Flash News – Nicky
Happy 50th Birthday Nicky! Nicky and his family celebrated
with their extended family. They headed first for the
wedding of their oldest daughter's roommate, Becky. Glad
you had a safe trip and a Happy Birthday!
On another topic, Nicky is off next week to close on
the purchase of the second medical device Company that
his Company has bought this year. This Company developed
a unique electrical acupuncture device to treat patients
with chronic pain. Congratulations!
